FAF NATIONAL TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The Federation of Australian Futsal would like to introduce Marty Calvert as the new National Technical Director. Marty is an experienced player and coach having been involved in the sport for 28 years. As a player, Marty has extensive experience playing at international level including World Cup appearances. He has also had stints playing in both the Netherlands and Brazil. Marty has been coaching at state level for 22 years across both New South Wales and Queensland plus numerous Junior National Team assignments.

As National Technical Director, Marty will be responsible for developing the player and coaching pathways within the sport of Futsal, as well as building the National Curriculum, Coaching Framework and Course structures.

Marty will also oversee the National Team planning and preparation for the World Cup campaigns of the Open Men’s, Women’s, Youth Men and Under 17s Boys teams.
