Federation of Australian Futsal would like to welcome their new Vice President to the FAF Regional Board: Carlos Cravo.
Carlos brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the game of Futsal and will be an integral part of the Future development of AMF Futsal in Australia.

Carlos was born in Portugal and from the age of 4 was already playing for Pombal in the Cova de Piadade Futsal League and by the age of 10 he was in the State and National Futsal Representative squads.
By the age of 11 he signed a 4-year contract with the SLB Sport Lisboa Benfica Junior Academy and in what was to be the beginning of his professional career, but from the age of 13 his parents made the decision to migrate to Australia where Carlos continued playing Football in his new home.
In 1994 at the age of 23, his goal was to develop young players and to lift the standard of Football in Australia by taking a leap of faith in 2000 and going back to Portugal to redeem his self-experience as a player and to learn more of the game he loved. He took a job at the club he had a lot of respect for and began coaching Benfica’s finest under 15 Boys.
By 2002 Carlos decided to return to Australia and started coaching a variety of Outdoor Clubs in Adelaide, passing on some of the knowledge and experience he had gained over the years, and in that same year he took the Adelaide Blue Eagles under 14’s and become winners of the league that year.

Other clubs showed interest in Carlos and he traveled to different clubs developing young players/teams from Metro Stars, Campbelltown, Western Strikers, Playford City, and most resent Adelaide Comets with Under 15 Girls outdoor team.

Carlos then turned his attention to Futsal that he had groan up playing back in Portugal and was involved with clubs such as Adelaide Fusion F.C for 3 years and most recently with Adelaide Fury F.C for the past 4 years and still going.
In 2015 Carlos became the founding member of SA Futsal and continued coaching and developing Futsal players, he coached the SA Futsal Youth Women and represented Adelaide in 2015 Nationals and then took the FFSA U19 Youth Women to the 2016 Futsal Nationals.

Carlos’s future goals is to help develop AMF Futsal from grass roots not only in South Australia but also across Australia, so FAF and AMF welcome Carlos to the family
